Leo's Twitter Updates for 2008-04-22

  • I don't think I should have eaten both the foie gras _and_ the duck's tongue. I've been queasy all day. #
  • Kinda funny the New Communications Forum is 20 minutes away. If you really want to see the future stop by the TWiT Cottage and say hello. #
  • The screws came. Tomorrow live interactive video of @digitalkitty and me assembling my massive desk. New Communications indeed. #
  • Everything seems very bleak at 2am. Even the dog is having a bad dream. It's Jung's Hour of the Wolf. Or maybe just low blood sugar. #
  • @dvydra I wish I were in London! But then the jet lag would be even worse. #
  • Twitter must be experiencing explosive growth. My followers have doubled in just one month. Same from Feb to March. #
  • But then @kevinrose has tripled in the same time. At this rate he should be number one in just a few weeks. #
  • @Tales No Audible didn't drop us! I was just kidding around. Audible renewed a month ago - they're very happy with netcast ads in general. #
  • SN 141 - talking about RSA and a very cool USB authentication key, http://www.yubico.com, that appears as a keyboard & types your 1x pwd. #

Tasmania Animoto Style

Amber and I interviewed Brad Jefferson of Animoto.com tonight on net@night. It's a very cool site that auto-generates a video using pretty advanced software and your own pictures and music. During the interview I whipped this up with about three clicks of the mouse.

KGO Live

Newstalk 810 AM, KGO Radio, San Francisco.jpgI'll be speaking at a free event in San Francisco: Saturday, May 3 at 3p, at the Concourse Exhibition Center, 8th & Brannan. My San Francisco radio affiliate, KGO Newstalk 810, does this every year. KGO Live is an all day event, 11a-4p, featuring Dr. Dean Edell, Ronn Owens, Gil Gross, Len Tillem, Joanie Greggains, Gene Burns, Michael Finney, Rosie Allen, Ed Baxter, Lynn Jimenez, Karel, Bill Wattenburg, and me. They tell me they've set out 400 chairs for Dean Edell and around 40 for me. I'd really love to show them that there are more than 40 geeks in San Francisco, so please come out and say hi. There are more details, including information about the wine tasting that will also be going on, at KGO's web site.

Leo's Twitter Updates for 2008-04-21

  • Just finished TWiT 139: 4-TWiTty - with @rogermcguinn, @veronica, @therealdvorak, and some guy who doesn't have a Twitter account. #
  • TWiT 139 is late - I have to add a commercial I forgot. It should be up by noon. My apologies. #
  • We're staffing up for TWiT Live. I've just hired @digitalkitty as a part time IT gal and I've offered a friend the office manager job. #

Leo's Twitter Updates for 2008-04-19

  • Also trying to choose between Wirecast by Vara Software and a full blown Tricaster Studio. One's $300, the other is $10,000. Hmmm. #
  • I keep forgetting to post Windows Weekly on Friday. It's up now. Sorry for the delay. Jumping Monkeys will be out later this afternoon. #
  • I'll be streaming The Tech Guy in the usual fashion this weekend - no T1. I should be in the new studio next weekend though. #
  • To me there is no difference between mauve and purple; to my wife all remotes look alike. So which one of us is lacking? #
  • @rogermcguinn is going to be on TWiT tomorrow along with @veronica, @therealdvorak, and Thurrot. I promise not to sing "Mr Tambourine Man." #
  • To avoid spamming those who don't want spam I've created a @TWiTLive Twitter account. I'll use it to announce live events and take questions #
  • Happy birthday, TWiT. TWiT #1 was published April 19, 2005. http://twit.tv/1 #
  • @stevegillmor I think this will be the last TWiT _without_ a simulcast. Next week I'm hoping to do a live video 3rd Anniversary TWiT. #
