Leo, Try viddler.com
I really like Viddler - especially the commenting - but I made a long post yesterday with it which it lost. :-(
I will be playing more with it soon, though.
I don't no much about seesmic, but trusting your videos to a startup, seems to go against the ideal of ensuring you keep the videos.

@theo - thanks for the tip. I've installed it and it works great. I do like the idea of making my videos part of a larger community and embedable, so I'll probably keep using Viddler, but I'll keep local copies too, just in case!
@Leo - yea i understand - the lack of embedding is annoying i guess - and i do like the viddler comment system v.original.
