Leo's Twitter Updates for 2008-08-29

  • McCain looks like he's having second thoughts. Can you see Palin as our President? I'm having a hard time with that. #
  • @timburks Hmm. You're kidding right? Biden vs Palin. Can't wait for the VP debate. #

Maybe you should be asking if you can see Obama as our president. Palin's at least been responsible and in charge of something much bigger than Obama, not just as gov, but as mayor and a mom of 5.

If this election is about good judgement, then what are they thinking. Politics aside, what is she thinking? What is her husband thinking? They have five kids, and one of them is a four month old downs syndrome baby. What kind of disruption is this going to create for her family? If she were my daughter, I would tell her that her most important responsibility is to her children. And, there is a more than fifty-fifty chance that whe will be president one day. Then what?
If she is so strongly pro life, she should realize that the people whom she has given life to are counting on her.

I can see Sarah Palin as our VP wayyyy more easily than Obama as our President. Obama is a small time community aggrivator who timed it just right and is now in the running for president. Frankly I'm looking forward to 4 years of hell as I don't think the USA will flourish under either candidate. But clearly, the stronger ticket is McCain/Palin. Having said that, I'm still voting for Bob Barr. Any other vote would be a waste for me.

Obama has proven that he can run a large, sprawling organization effectively - namley, his presidential campaign. His effective leadership there far surpassed both Hillary Clinton's and John McCain's leadership of their respective campaigns and bodes well for an Obama presidency. Sarah Palin has run a small town and a big state with a small population. She hasn't dealt with the pressures of inner city homlessness, violent crime, health care crisis, immigration, or loss of jobs in the same manner as have governors of more populous states. There is no way anyone can call her 'ready for the presidency' and it's a joke to hear the party faithful try to spin her as experienced and capable. She is neither.
